The name relates in small part to the other side of the soulful record box (the deeper, more electronic sound), but really is in memory of Duncan Wilson, an old friend who tragically passed onto the other side this week, at the painfully young age of just 33!

Duncan was a wonderful man; a bon-vivant, creative, music connoisseur, poet, writer and all round good soul, always sharing his passion of life & music with everyone he met.

When I lived in Leeds & had a record shop with Back II Basics resident Tristan DaCunha & Mat Playford, Duncan would spin for hours, entertaining us late into the night.

This is a slice of deep, melodic house; an escapade down the other side, beneath the stars – dedicated to the memory of a shining light, who’s spirit & memory will always live on.
